  14. DESCRIPTION
  15.     ffe is an intuitive program for file handling and downloading.
  16.     it needs vt100 emulation. the screen is splitted in two parts
  17.     where on the top is list of files and on the bottom is
  18.     showed description of the file. if ffe can't find descrtiption
  19.     file, it tries to read file's filenote and shows it, if it can
  20.     be found. ffe needs xpr for file transfers. 
  21.  
  22.     new features in 1.5: new files are displayed BOLD. all the 
  23.     directories which contains new files are also showed BOLD.
  24.     ffe uses user's local variable $lastlogin to detect whenever
  25.     a file is new to user.

  28.     The   following   command  line  keywords  are  implemented:

  31.     ?    gives a short internal manual page.

  33.     e    enter directory
  34.  
  35.     .    go parent directory
  36.  
  37.     d    download files using xpr protocols. user may choose
  38.         any xpr protocol from libs: -directory.

  40.     s    show description file. description path must be
  41.         defined in /etc/rc.ffe.
  42.  
  43.     c    show contents of .lha, .lzh or .zoo file. uses external
  44.         packers which must be defined in /etc/rc.ffe. if selected
  45.         file is a text file it will be displayed.

  47.     w    write description. this option is available
  48.         ONLY for users who have accesslevel 
  49.         privileged or superuser.
